Amber Kelly

Macramé was born in the holds of ships of yore. Sailors practiced their knots and turned them into art on long voyages, leaving them with goods to sell when they finally reached the port. 2020 was a long year for many of us. As a sailor, I took the time to turn my knots into crafts. I also earned my Captain’s license and delivered a boat from St. Thomas to Sarasota spending 10 days at sea. Now that we can see the shore as we emerge from the pandemic, welcome to my port. I plan to stow away the earnings from this art to one day purchase a boat of my own. Thank you.
